Why NOW is a Great Time to Buy Real Estate:

Now is a particularly great time to buy a home, say a variety of real estate professionals.   This is one of those times that if you don't buy NOW, a couple years down the road you will wish you had.  Here are the reasons why:

• Prices are probably as low as they are going to go as the market stabilizes.  In fact, in our local 13 county metro area of the Twin Cities, Realtor Associations are reporting that prices are now stabilizing (some areas even starting to come up).
• Interest rates have declined to all time low rates!  Regular conventional and FHA 30 year fixed rates are in the upper 3's!
• FHA allows down payments of as little as 3.5 percent! People scraping dollars together for a down payment should be able to qualify under the new guidelines.
• PLUS there are a lot of down payment assistance programs in place, depending on location, income and qualifications.
• Inventories are continuing to lower and fewer foreclosures are coming on the market making this a great time to buy!
